History
Incorporated in October 1987 as an electronics distributor, TriStar’s business grew significantly in 1990, requiring additional office and warehouse space. As TriStar moved to a new location, two partners who complemented the original owners joined the team. Efforts to form a national electronics-buying group were initiated and, with TriStar as one of its leading companies, the Edge Buying Group was established in 1991.
Because of continued growth, TriStar’s facilities were upgraded and expanded in late 2001. The new facilities included a room for customer training and workshops, a test warehouse/workshop area, an expanded shipping/receiving, and a kitting/assembly area. In 2006, TriStar expanded its facility by over 35% to provide additional warehouse space and improved assembly area.
Since it was founded, TriStar has worked to anticipate and respond to both customer and industry conditions, and is committed to providing comprehensive electronic, controls, and automation solutions to the industry.
